In the now closed car park beside UTS building 10 the sign declares it full. Perhaps theĀ sign is thinking back to better days, when many a uni student and staff member would park there for the day? Or maybe it has its invisible friends there to keep it company?

Trainee surveyors at UTS
A row of student surveyors stood outside University of Technology, Sydney’s building 2 this morning as I went in for my lecture this morning. There has been quite a few groups of students standing round with this tripod things. I suppose it is the time in semester when surveyors got let loose on the work to practice their skills.
Transport for all need not cost $600b: expert
A SWEEPING, multibillion-dollar transport plan, to be unveiled next week in a discussion paper from a leading transport researcher, Garry Glazebrook, of the University of Technology, Sydney, proposes linking almost every home, office and university in Sydney to upgraded train, tram and bus services within 30 years.
Clouds over demolition
The few remaining buildings and chimney of the former Carlton United Brewery on Broadway, Chippendale.
It was interesting to come back to Sydney after a year, and find the space opposite UTS raised to the ground. An expanse of open space, and this one tall chimney.
I see that this project has been coming along for some years. And that it is intended to be a green urban renewal project.
It will be interesting to see what it looks like when finished, in 6 to 8 years. But for now it is nice to have a little more open space so close to Sydney CBD.
