History ______________________________________________________________________ [1] WHY SHOULD I TURN OFF HTML IN EMAIL? Not all email programs can view HTML email as HTML so your email will look strange to some recipients. And not all programs that can display HTML email interpret HTML the same way, so what you send will not always be displayed as you intended. HTML email includes formating text which makes the message bigger. ______________________________________________________________________ [2] MIRRORING AND MODIFYING This HOWTO was written to make it easier to tell people to turn off html in their email program. I grant people permission to link to this document, but would appreciate being notified at the email address above. MIRRORING Please email me if you wish to mirror this HOWTO. I will probably grant people permission, but I like to know about it first. MODIFYING Please do not modify this HOWTO without consent. If you feel that there are changes or additions that should be made to the HOWTO please email me with details. I would prefer that there are not multiple versions of this HOWTO floating around the net. And if you feel that something is wrong or needs updating it is better that everyone benefits from the fixes. ______________________________________________________________________ [3] MAC OS X NOTES MacOS X has added a new menu named after the currently active program.
